Case 01 · Rentvine · 2024–Present
Building product from zero.
I joined a fast-growing property management SaaS with no PMs, no designers and no roadmap. I built a 20-person product & design team and a Land > Expand strategy for a company that grew revenue 4,682% in three years.

- Chief Experience Officer → Chief Product Officer

- 0 → 20, product & design
- Outcome
- 4,682% three-year revenue growth
- Targets
- Beat aggressive YoY growth targets every year
Problem
Rentvine was growing fast, on its way to #60 on the Inc. 5000 and #18 on the Deloitte Fast 500. But it had no product function: no product managers, no designers and no roadmap. Product decisions were made ad hoc, so there was no clear line from what got built to the growth targets the business was committed to.
Rentvine had grown like an organism, on instinct and speed. To keep growing it needed to become an organization: a shared way to decide what to build, evidence to balance product sense, and a product designed around how property managers actually work, not just around the data.
My role
Joined as Chief Experience Officer in March 2024 and became Chief Product Officer in June 2025. I owned the product org, the strategy and the roadmap.
What I did
- Studied the work, not the data. Brought in workflow and jobs-to-be-done research so the roadmap started from what property managers were trying to get done.
- Built the team. Hired and structured product management and design from zero to 20 people.
- Wrote the strategy. Land > Expand: win the account, then grow units inside it. The multi-year roadmap behind it included internal maintenance, a PODs permissions model and a mobile app.
- Set the cadence. Stood up quarterly planning alongside continuous planning, so the roadmap could commit and still adapt.
- Iterated the operating model. Designed three operating models as the team grew. The latest is AI-first: more, smaller pods that cover more ground and scope with the same headcount. Doing more with the same.
- Replaced quarterly planning with Rendezvous (RDV). I named it. RDV 1–3 were about ways of working and shaped the AI-first operating model. RDV 4 and 5 became high-velocity working sessions, and we shipped 9 features at the most recent one.
Outcome
- 4,682% three-year revenue growth, per the Inc. 5000.
- Beat aggressive year-over-year growth targets every year of my tenure.
- 9 features shipped in a single RDV working session.
- The early product work helped Rentvine secure a $74M growth investment from Mainsail Partners ↗ in August 2024.
- Part of the leadership team behind Inc. 5000 #60, Deloitte Fast 500 #18, the RentFinder.ai acquisition, and “Happiest Customers” / “Category Leader” ratings from PropertyManagement.com.

What I’d do next
Set up measurement on day one. Next time I’d define evergreen KPIs and instrument them before the first roadmap ships, so every later debate starts from the same numbers.
